Johnny Martinez is a behavioral health professional with over a decade of experience in substance use and mental health services. Since entering the field in 2015, he has built his career from the ground up, beginning as a Behavioral Health Technician before advancing to roles as a Group Facilitator, Case Manager, and Program Director. His diverse clinical and operational experience has shaped a compassionate, well-rounded, and client-centered approach to care.
In 2017, Johnny played a key role in launching an outpatient PHP/IOP program, where he later grew into a leadership position that reflected both his expertise and passion for serving others. As Program Director, he helped establish the program’s clinical foundation while mentoring a strong, client-focused team committed to delivering high-quality care. His dedication to the community extends beyond his professional role, as he continues to support a local nonprofit that provides behavioral health services to individuals without access to insurance.
The birth of his first daughter profoundly shaped Johnny’s perspective on compassion and reinforced the importance of meeting people where they are. That experience continues to influence his leadership style and commitment to creating meaningful connections with both clients and staff. In October 2025, Johnny joined Pacific Coast Mental Health as Program Director, bringing with him years of clinical and leadership experience, along with a passion for developing high-performing teams and fostering a culture of empathy, collaboration, and growth. His goal is to create an environment where individuals feel supported, empowered, and equipped to build lasting stability and meaningful change.
