I recently completed a 36-day stay at Pacific Coast Mental Health, and I can genuinely say it was a life-altering experience. When I first entered the program, I was in a very different place mentally and emotionally than I am now. Over the course of my stay, I learned so many invaluable coping skills that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Techniques like containment, showing myself compassion, and reframing my thoughts have completely changed the way I approach difficult situations. One of the most impactful lessons I learned was how to let go of trying to control every outcome and instead trust that whatever happens as I have the strength and tools to handle it. The staff truly made this experience exceptional. The program director, clinical director, nurse, and physician assistant were all incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my growth and well-being. I also cannot say enough about the behavioral health technicians as they were absolute angels and each taught me valuable qualities to carry throughout life. During stressful moments, they were always there with patience, understanding, and real compassion. I also want to give recognition to the incredible chef. He truly went above and beyond to cater to everyone’s individual needs and preferences, which made a huge difference in feeling cared for day-to-day. In addition, his wife, Norinne, offered personal training sessions on the weekends that were incredibly impactful for me. She helped me understand the importance of weight training and, more importantly, taught me not to compare myself to others but to focus on my own body mechanics and what I personally need to build strength and feel more comfortable in my body. What stood out most to me was how individualized the care felt. Every staff member took the time to understand each client’s unique needs and showed flexibility in meeting us where we were. I never felt like just another patient. I felt seen, heard, and supported every step of the way. I am not the same person I was before entering this program, and I mean that in the best way possible. As I discharge, I feel confident in my ability to move forward, accomplish my goals, and build a life rooted in self-love and healthy relationships. I am incredibly grateful for my time here and would highly recommend this program to anyone seeking meaningful, compassionate, and effective mental health care.Posted on K BTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was SO reluctant and hesitant on coming to this place; I had never done any mental health residency, facility, etc. LET ME TELL YOU…if you’re thinking about it, JUST GO! It was an experience I wasn’t prepared for and I mean that in the Bestest way possible. The staff down to the folks who come in for group time; if you take the tools and implement/ use them, it really does change your life. I was soo angry and not too get all into it but leaving I’m happy and feel at peace and would recommend just Trying it; it’s for the betterment of you! The chefs gonna make you fat but that’s the only down side ahaha. Please come to this place if you need help, they Will Help You!Posted on Blake CoxTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
